Printing From Any Program

Printing to the Sharp Multi-Function Printers (MFP) starts off like printing to any printer.

1. Find the print function on the program you are using (file/print on most programs)

2. Select the printer you wish to use or use the default printer. This should have your home school code at the beginning. Example: BRDFaculty_1 on brd01shp09v

Note: if you are not at your home school and need to print, select the AllMCSDFacultyStaff.

3. If you wish to use more advanced functions please click on the "Print Options" button.

4. Click Print when you are ready to print.

5. If you have selected to print a document with color in it a warning box will appear.

6. If you choose "Yes" it will take away from your color print balance which appears on your Gutenberg Balance box. color print balance.png This number only reflects the number of Color Copies you have remaining. Your black and white printing is monitored but not restricted by number unless the administration requests it.

Everything now happens at the Sharp printer

1. You should have received a RFID (White) card that will allow you to log into the Sharp printer by waving it close to the RFID receiver which looks like a thin black box on the right side of the printer.

2. If it is the first time you have logged into your printer it will ask you to register your card and will require you to enter your e0xxxxx number and your password. Once this process is complete the Sharp printer will allow you log on by place the RFID card close to the Reader.

3. You will see the Home Screen with Copy, Print, Scan across the front. If you see a "Fax" also on the Home screen ignore it. The only Sharp Printers set up with the Fax function is the front office.

4. Click on the Print button.

5. This will take you to what print jobs that have been sent to the printer by you. Select the print job you want to print out.

6. Once you select the print job you will see a print button so you can print each separate print job.
