Course Syllabus
WELCOME
I look forward to working with you this year! In Engineering and Technology class, students will have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and work ethics while solving problems related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
During my 20 years of teaching, I have taught students in grades 5 - 8. Most of my time has been spent teaching middle school math. Prior to becoming a teacher, I spent ten years working as an engineer in the aerospace industry. I hope to share my passion for problem solving and learning with all of my students.
TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
I believe that students learn best when they are given meaningful, challenging, and engaging work in an atmosphere where there are clearly stated expectations. I believe that a partnership between parents and teachers helps ensure student success.
EXPECTATIONS
I have only two rules for my class: 1) Work hard 2) Be nice. I ask that students come prepared to follow both of these rules each day.
SUPPLIES
Students will need a composition book, sharpened pencils, and inexpensive earbuds for my classes.
