Q: Will we be taught the rules and how to play?
A: yes, if you have never played myself and the other coaches will work with you to learn the fundamentals and rules. A great way to learn is to watch games! I know NCAA softball streams a lot on Facebook and I’m sure you can find them on YouTube.
Q: Is there any payment for uniforms, etc.?
A: yes, players will be responsible for getting their own pants, socks, and cleats (requirements listed below) and of course items like sports bras etc. I will do a group order for jerseys that you will be able to keep after the season is over – I don’t know for sure but I don’t expect them to be more than $100 (I’m trying to shoot high just in case)
Q: What are the practices times?
A: during the school year (starting August 1st) we will practice 3:45 to 5:30pm. You will need to provide your own transportation to and form practice but it will be held at the Sports Complex at the school. Summer practiced times are TBA – this will depend on participation from all athletes on the team.
Q: Do you have anything set for try-outs (date and time)?
A: we wont be doing try outs – you just need to show up to practices and meetings when scheduled. This will be communicated through the Canvas course and through your preferred communication method that you put in the interest form.
Q: Do we need a physical on file?
A: yes, all athletes must have an up-to-date physical on file in order to participate in any athletic activity.
