February 13th

Students will be assigned to a storm group to create a newscast with their group.

They must research their assigned storms, fill in the note sheet for their storm and write the script for a newscast.  They will make up the town for the event to happen.  They must include all of the information from their notes section in the newscast.  They may add in an anchor and sports section.  Each person must have an approximate equal speaking part in the newscast and is responsible for writing their own portion of the script.  Each student will turn in their portion of the script after the students perform the newscast for the class.  Students need to have a visual to project on the smartboard during their presentation.  They must email me the link or bring it in on a flash drive ahead of time so I can have it ready to go on presentation day.

Examples of segments for the newscast include but are not limited to:

7 Day Weather Forecast

Explain the science behind the weather event.
